This year, students will only have two chances to sit for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2022, rather than four. Because the National Testing Agency (NTA) has opted to only conduct tests in April and May.
Furthermore, according to TOI sources, delays in exams such as Class 12 board exams have resulted in less time for entrance exams if admissions are to begin on schedule this year.
Candidates can check the JEE Main 2022 exam date and other details on the NTA website. The NTA JEE Main 2022 official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in will release the exam date and registration process for JEE Mains 2022.
JEE Mains 2022- likely to conduct in April and May:
JEE Main 2022 application forms will be available in the near future. Aspirants for JEE Main 2022, on the other hand, are more concerned about the number of attempts. There is no official word on how many JEE Main 2022 attempts the NTA would grant.
Lakhs of aspirants wait for the schedule and registration for the JEE Mains 2022. A fresh report suggests that the number of attempts the engineering aspirants will receive this year will significantly reduce. According to a top national daily, the Ministry of Education has taken a decision that students will intend to take two attempts instead of four for the JEE Mains 2022 exam.
According to media reports, the JEE Mains 2022 attempt is likely to take place in the months of April and May. The National Testing Agency (NTA), which administers the national-level engineering admission exam, may give students reduced sessions this year.
Students formerly had a permit to only one attempt for the JEE Mains exam. However, this was increased to two in 2019 and four in 2021.
The JEE Mains for undergraduate engineering admissions in 2021 was held in four attempts from February to September. Aspirants may participate in all four tries, with their best performance been given to determine their JEE Mains score.
The reason behind reducing the number of attempts:
The Agency held four sessions of the JEE Main exam last year. The ministry of education agreed to expand the number of attempts to four starting in 2021. An official told TOI that COVID-19 was the basis for holding four JEE Main sessions last year. “Because of the second wave, the situation was different. However, things have improved, and it is decisive that two efforts would be as useful in the current situation. By the end of this month, registration will begin,” the official was saying.
There was an influence on the decision by the ongoing Covid-19 crisis in India at the time. And it was also agreed that students should be aided in their efforts. However, with the pandemic situation less severe than before, candidates will have a permit for two attempts instead of four in the highly competitive exam, as the Ministry of Education reverts to an older arrangement. JEE Mains 2022 registration dates and schedule will be available soon on the official website.
