This is a derivation, not an answer box. Derive walks the eight steps from section 02 in order, showing all 32 bits at every step: indigo bits are network bits, amber bits are the ones you borrowed, and grey bits are host bits. All subnets switches to the other view and lays the parent block out as a tiling, one subnet per press, so you can see the block size doing the stepping. The presets start at the section 02 address and move outward from it: the same host one bit deeper, the class B from section 01, a point-to-point /30, and a class C split sixteen ways. Type your own as address/prefix and it will work that instead. Nothing plays on its own: Next, Back and Reset, or the arrow keys.
